Node.js and Git
Winskel shows whether Node.js and Git are ready on this Mac, and what to do when one is missing.
Where to look
On first run, and in Settings, Account and plan, Winskel shows whether Node.js and Git are ready on this Mac. When Node.js is missing, a quiet Node.js Not found also shows above the message box. Only JavaScript projects need Node.js: Chat, Python and plain HTML work without it.
Node.js not found
Agents can still write a JavaScript project, but cannot install, build or test it on this Mac, so the work ends as Built, not verified with the changes kept. Install Node.js from nodejs.org or with Homebrew (brew install node), then choose Check again; no restart is needed. Then choose Request changes on the kept work to continue.
Git not found
Winskel needs Git to keep each agent's work apart. Install Apple's Command Line Tools by running xcode-select --install in Terminal, then choose Check again.
