Current version: Current Beta.

Pro is available for unlimited Deep Debug within provider limits. The quality automation features below remain coming soon. Standard debugging, manual review, core safety and ordinary execution reliability remain useful on Free.

Deep Debug, in beta

A deliberate investigation you explicitly choose: trace likely causes, reproduce where tools permit, inspect evidence, support a controlled fix and recheck the relevant behavior. Available in the public beta from Beta 35, with 10 uses a month on Free.

Free: 10 Deep Debug uses / month. Pro: US$20/month, or US$180/year (US$15/month billed annually) with no Winskel monthly Deep Debug cap. Provider limits apply. Normal debugging and manual reviews do not use this allowance.

Your account and billing

Sign in with the same Google account on the website and in the Mac app. Your Pro plan follows that account.

To cancel, open Settings, Subscription & Billing, then Manage billing. Pro stays active until the end of your trial or paid period, then returns to Free. Cancel before a trial ends to avoid a charge.

For a full refund, email ahmed@winskel.com within 14 days of the charge. A full refund ends paid Pro and cancels the subscription. Your projects and history are kept.

The first 100 eligible Winskel users who create more than 5 qualifying projects can receive one year of Pro free.

More than 5 means your sixth qualifying project. Eligibility is limited to the first 100 qualifying accounts and must be confirmed by a backend reservation or grant.

No card required. No automatic charge. Provider limits still apply. After the free year, your account returns to Free unless you choose a paid plan.

The free year begins when the backend officially grants or claims the promotion, not when the sixth project is created.

Qualifying-project rules, progress and claiming are not available on the website yet. The website will display the server’s count once the campaign opens; it does not decide which projects qualify.

Use your existing coding subscriptions

Winskel runs the official Claude Code and Codex CLIs on your Mac. The free beta covers Winskel software; it does not include unlimited provider usage.

Connect either agent
Claude Code alone or Codex alone works. Connect both for more model choices and reviews by the other agent.
Sign in to the CLI
Use claude auth login or codex login in Terminal with an eligible provider account. Signing in to a general chat website alone is not enough.
No separate AI API key
The supported subscription CLI flow uses the coding tool's existing sign-in. Provider allowances, limits and charges continue to apply.
Usage is a reading
Settings, Usage shows the latest provider usage windows and reset times reported when that agent runs. Readings can be stale or missing; they cannot reserve quota or ensure a task will finish.

What counts as a route

A route is one executable mission Winskel sends to a coding model. Planning, checks, previews and Winskel's own retries on the same model do not use additional routes; a rerun you start is new work.

Current beta: projects, models and routes

Active projects
No limit during the beta.
Active routing models
Winskel detects and shows every supported model. During the beta there is no limit on how many are active.
Routes
Counted, so you can see your usage in Settings, Usage, and never limited during the beta.
Your coding plans
Claude Code and Codex run on your own accounts, so their usage limits still apply.

Pricing questions

How much is Winskel Pro?

US$20/month, or US$180/year (US$15/month billed annually), plus applicable tax. Annual billing saves US$60/year. Eligible accounts can start a 14 day free trial with a card; it renews automatically unless cancelled.

Is Winskel Free staying free?

Yes. Winskel has a Free plan.

How does the free year of Pro work?

The first 100 eligible Winskel users who create more than 5 qualifying projects can receive one year of Pro free. Eligibility begins at the sixth qualifying project and requires a server-confirmed grant. No payment card is required. The promotion is coming soon; progress and claiming are not available yet.

Will I be charged after my free Pro year?

No. No card required. No automatic charge. Provider limits still apply. After the free year, your account returns to Free unless you choose a paid plan.

Do Claude Code and Codex limits still apply?

Yes. Winskel Pro does not remove Anthropic or OpenAI usage limits.

Do I need both Claude and ChatGPT?

No. Winskel works with either one. With both, Winskel compares models across Claude Code and Codex and can give different parts of an objective to each.

Do I pay Winskel for AI usage?

No. Use your existing eligible Claude Code or Codex subscription. Provider usage limits still apply. Provider subscriptions and charges remain separate from Winskel software.

Can I subscribe to Pro today?

Pro is available at US$20/month, or US$180/year (US$15/month billed annually), plus applicable tax. Eligible accounts can start a 14 day trial with a card, then renew automatically unless cancelled. Pro removes Winskel's monthly Deep Debug cap. The Free allowance is 10 Deep Debug uses / month. The six quality automation features remain coming soon and are not included until released. Provider usage limits still apply.

How do I use my Pro subscription in the Mac app?

Sign in with the same Google account on the website and in Winskel for Mac. Pro belongs to that Winskel account, so you do not need a second subscription. After Stripe confirms the subscription, your plan appears in Settings, Subscription & Billing.

How do I cancel or request a refund?

Open Settings, Subscription & Billing, then Manage billing to cancel in the customer portal. Pro stays active until the current trial or paid period ends, then returns to Free. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid a charge. For a full refund, write to ahmed@winskel.com within 14 days of the charge. A full refund ends paid Pro and cancels its subscription; your projects and history are kept. See the subscription terms for details.

Will Free still be useful?

Yes. Free keeps native agents, Chat and Code, standard debugging, Shared Project Memory, manual Second Opinion, changes, checks and safe recovery, and includes 10 Deep Debug uses a month (in beta).

Is Deep Debug available now?

Yes, in beta, from Beta 35. Free includes 10 Deep Debug uses a month. Pro removes Winskel's monthly Deep Debug cap; provider usage limits still apply. Standard debugging and manual Second Opinion remain Free.

What is the difference between debugging and Deep Debug?

Standard debugging is everyday investigation with your coding agent. Deep Debug is an explicit choice for a harder bug: Winskel reproduces the failure where tools permit, looks for the cause, repairs it, rechecks the original failure and reports what was actually verified. If the bug cannot be reproduced, it says so.

What will count as one Deep Debug use?

One deliberate Deep Debug investigation of a coding issue, including authorized fixes, recovery and rechecking of that same issue. Continuing it does not consume another session. A separate investigation counts only when real investigation begins; provider failures before that point do not count.

When will the 10-use allowance reset?

The allowance resets on the first day of each calendar month at 00:00 UTC. Unused uses do not roll over. The app shows your own count, calculated by Winskel's server.

What happens after the 10 uses are used?

On Free, a new Deep Debug cannot start until the monthly reset; the app says so before you start. Standard debugging, ordinary testing, manual Second Opinion, Stop/Continue and safety recovery do not consume Deep Debug sessions. Pro removes Winskel's monthly Deep Debug cap; provider limits still apply.

Does Pro provide unlimited model tokens?

No. Pro removes only Winskel's monthly Deep Debug session cap. Your Claude Code and Codex subscriptions, provider usage limits, charges and safety restrictions still apply. It does not add provider quota or bypass restrictions.

Do I need an API key?

No separate AI API key is needed for the supported subscription CLI flow. Install the official Claude Code or Codex CLI and sign in to that coding tool with an eligible account. A general chat website sign-in alone is not enough. Your provider's plan, charges and usage limits still apply.

Does Winskel see my code?

Winskel does not store your repository's files or patches; the app reads them from your Mac when you open them. It keeps the records it needs to coordinate the work, such as your objective, file paths and short excerpts of agent activity, which can include code. Claude Code and Codex send relevant code and context to Anthropic and OpenAI as part of their normal operation, under your own agreements with them.

What is free today?

Downloading and using Winskel. It is free during the beta, with no limit on projects, active models or routes. No card is needed. Your Claude Code and Codex plans and their usage limits still apply.

What is a route?

A route is one executable mission Winskel actually sends to a coding model. An objective one model owns is one route; an objective split into three parts that all run is three. Planning, previews, checks, and a retry on the same model do not use additional routes.

Is there a route limit?

Not during the beta. Winskel counts routes so Settings, Usage can show them, and no route count holds your work back. Claude Code and Codex usage limits still apply.

What does active routing models mean?

Winskel detects and shows every supported model your Claude Code and Codex can run. During the beta there is no limit on how many are active.

Does Winskel replace my Claude or ChatGPT subscription?

No. Winskel runs models through your existing Claude Code and Codex access. Those plans stay billed by Anthropic and OpenAI, and their usage limits still apply.
